MARGARET MATTHEWS
Martin Jensen was born
at Maryborough, QLD on 8 June 1880, the son of Anders Jensen and
Magdalena Jensen (nee Mortensen).
Martin married Margaret
Matthews in the Baptist Church at ? Hill in Charters Towers on
14 January 1905. Their Marriage Certificate shows that Martin
was a 24 year old bachelor carpenter living at Mosman Street,
Charters Towers. His mother Magdalena Jensen is shown as
Mary Jensen. His wife 20 year old Margaret Matthews was living
at Valley Street, Buckland Hill, Charters Towers. She was born
at Millchester, Charters Towers and her parents were Benjamin
Matthews a deceased dairyman, and Ann Matthews (nee Edwards).
Witnesses at their marriage were Henry Ruthenberg and Julia
Dyson.
Martin and his family
went on to live in Sydney where he died in Sydney on 25 December
1968. Martin was laid to rest at the Eastern Suburbs
Crematorium, at Botany in New South Wales.

Stella Maud Jensen b. 18 Aug 1905
Marjory May Jensen b. 11 Jun 1909
Ruby Winifred Jensen b. 21 Oct 1911
